Team Calls with Island Ventures

Call 1: March 16, 2026 · Call 2: March 23, 2026 — Categorized transcript analysis with extracted action items, red flags, and what matters specifically for you.

The 5 Things That Actually Matter for You

🎯
Your role is specifically BD/Partnerships + Longevity Data Expert. You were brought in because of your network state community roots, Mexico/Italy connections, and unique knowledge of health data regulation across jurisdictions. This is their gap — fill it.
💡
They see you as a future GP, not just a VP. Kyle and Ramona explicitly said on Call 2: "We selected VPs because we think you're going to be great as GPs for your own start funds." This is a long game. The VP role is a proving ground.
💰
Carry is earned by showing up consistently — not by landing big checks. Compensation is based on daily/weekly/monthly engagement frequency, not by who brought in which investor. Kyle said explicitly: "It's not 'I brought in $150K.' That's not how it works." Decide your involvement level before signing.
⚠️
Kyle's tech platform is unfinished and buggy. The "Pupa Monster" agent platform had live bugs during both calls. Don't depend on it for anything time-sensitive. Google Drive is the real working system for now.
📊
90% of VPs drift away before the investment period ends — Ramona stated this directly. You will stand out simply by remaining engaged and delivering on your specific areas. Vesting model is in place for this reason.

Kyle's Agent Platform — What He's Building
Reality check: The platform had live bugs during the demo. Kyle acknowledged them. "It might still be buggy." Don't count on any of this being fully functional yet. Treat the Google Drive as the real working system.

🏗️
The Venture Studio Model ("Evolution Engine")

"For founders it's like retreats or mystery schools for personal development — accelerating your own development by this much by participating in an intense training period."

— Ramona, Call 2
💼
VP Compensation Model — The Full Explanation
What this means for you: Before signing the VP agreement, map your realistic availability (monthly vs. weekly vs. daily). Check off your contribution areas in the VP model in the Google Drive. Your carry allocation flows from that exercise — Ramona said she needs everyone to do this.
🗂️
Google Drive Walkthrough — What's Available to You

Kyle's "Entanglement" Demo — What It Actually Is
🌐
Long-Term Vision — Cayman SPC & Multiple Funds
Action Items — Call 2
⭐ Your Action Items
Go to Pupa Monster and attempt the entanglement process (wallet + email). Report any bugs back to Kyle.
Add founder names to the newsletter/founder pipeline list (continuing — you confirmed you're doing this).
Review the VP Agreement in the Google Drive → check off which contribution activities apply to you → this determines your carry allocation.
Give Ramona feedback on the Google Drive / onboarding experience — "I'm lost here" or "I don't understand this" is useful signal for her to improve it.
Ramona
Build onboarding sequence for VPs and LPs in the Google Drive — based on the quarterly update email.
Map out events calendar for next few months (salon schedule, founder events).
Continue developing proprietary filters + methods for founder selection.
Kyle
Fix remaining bugs on Pupa Monster platform (entanglement flow).
Connect Google Drive to agent system (seamless because both are Google infrastructure).
Next call: more hands-on entanglement walkthrough for everyone.
Shared
All VPs: populate Google Drive with relevant materials, founder connections, deal memos.
All VPs: review VP contribution matrix and determine involvement level.

Your strongest card in this room: You are the only person on the team who has lived the intersection of longevity research, health data regulation, and network state community building across multiple continents. Kyle and Ramona don't have this. Use it actively — don't wait to be asked.
Where You Have Real Leverage
  • Health data jurisdiction knowledge — South Korea, Dubai, EU rules on user health data. This is directly useful for portfolio due diligence.
  • Longevity passport concept — Fits squarely in their Layer 1 (data identity) + Layer 2 (legal/jurisdictional) investment thesis.
  • Mexico hub connections — A natural sandbox for network state experiments. Island Ventures has no existing presence there.
  • Italy connections — Andrej is planning a residency in a "similarly nice place" — your Italy network is directly applicable.
  • BD/Partnerships track record — Brought DK to Cardano and Solana Foundation. This is exactly the kind of active ecosystem-building the fund needs.
  • Women in crypto work — Under-discussed but this is a real differentiator when attracting LP types like impact-oriented institutionals.
⚠️
Watch Points & Red Flags
  • Compensation is not yet clarified. Kyle said on Call 2: "I don't think we've clarified yet what percent you're gonna get." This needs to be resolved before you do significant work.
  • Kyle's math tangents. He goes deep on logarithm theory and mathematical frameworks that aren't directly relevant to your role. Don't let this confuse the substance — the business model is sound even if the communication is dense.
  • Platform dependency risk. Kyle's Pupa Monster is not reliable yet. If you need to use it for anything important, verify it works first.
  • 90% VP dropout rate. You will not be evaluated against a high bar — the bar is just showing up consistently. But the vesting cliff means you need to commit to a minimum period to see any carry.
  • No public solicitation rule. You cannot publicly promote the fund or that you're raising. All LP conversations must stay private and direct.

Your Specific Opportunity Map Within Island Ventures
Your ExpertiseWhere It Plugs InConcrete Next Move
Longevity passport + data vault concept Direct pipeline deal for the fund — Layer 1 (data identity) + Layer 2 (health data legal) Write a 1-page deal memo framing the longevity passport as a potential portfolio company
Health data regulation knowledge (South Korea, Dubai, EU) Due diligence expertise for any health-data focused portfolio company Draft a 2-page regulatory overview for the Google Drive — this becomes reusable IP for the fund
Mexico community + hub connections Pilot location for data vault experiments + natural LP access (Mexican HNWIs in crypto) Map 3–5 Mexico-based hubs or communities that could partner with Island Ventures
Italy connections Andrej's August residency location candidate + European LP access Connect Andrej with Italy-based contacts who could host or support the August residency
BD / Partnerships track record LP warm introductions + founder pipeline from Web3 ecosystem Identify 5 specific people for LP pipeline using the archetype framework from their materials
AI agents / Claude Code workflow You're already ahead of most VPs on AI tooling — this is valuable for their AI-native VC model Volunteer to build one AI-assisted workflow for the fund (e.g., automated LP follow-up drafts)

Key Quotes That Directly Relate to You

💬

"We've selected you as VPs because we think you're gonna be great as GPs for your own start funds."

— Kyle, Call 2 at 21:11
This is not a formality. They genuinely see the VP program as a GP pipeline. If you want your own fund eventually, this is the fastest path.
💬

"Not enough companies were ready for investment at the stage. There's a lot of talent, but they still don't have a working business model. We needed to cultivate and support them — not just with legal engineering, but with venture support."

— Ramona, Call 1 at 23:49
This is why the studio model matters. Your network of early-stage founders (not yet investable) fits perfectly into the cultivation pipeline, not the fund itself.
💬

"If you know people where it's like, they're into this space, they will resonate with what it's in the newsletter — that's when it becomes important."

— Ramona, Call 2 at 04:19
The sharing protocol is warm and targeted — not broadcast. This fits your BD style naturally.
